Visitors to the Huntington County History and Education Center can explore the county's rich history, which spans from prehistory and the Miami Indian and French Voyageur period through the Canal era and pioneer settlement to the present day.

Our museum, designed with inclusivity in mind, is fully handicapped accessible and offers ample parking. It serves as a vibrant hub of learning and discovery, welcoming over 400 Huntington County students annually for school tours that delve into their heritage.  We also extend a warm invitation to groups and clubs to schedule their meetings with a guided museum tour, promising a unique and educational experience for all.

Programs are offered to the public on the 3rd Wednesday of March, May, July, September, November, and December. They begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Museum and feature some aspects of local history.

All programs are free and open to the public.

Memberships, newsletter advertising, visitor donations, and the Huntington County Commissioners support the museum. The Historical Society was organized in 1926 and incorporated in 1985.
